The name of Normafa dates back to the early 19th century when popular actress of the time, Róza Klein Schodelné, was captivated by the huge, lonely beech tree, and sang Bellini’s Norma aria under the tree. From then on, the beech tree started to be called Normafa (meaning Norma tree), a name that slowly spread to the surrounding area, which offers an uninterrupted view of the capital.
